The graduates of Engineering and Architecture have the best salaries

Taking a master's degree is not yet synonymous with having a good salary. Higher education protects from unemployment but not from precariousness. 26.8 percent of the graduate graduates surveyed declare receiving a salary that does not exceed 1,000 euros per month, after finishing their studies at two and a half years architecture engineering salary.
Of these, 8.8 percent charge less than 600 euros. These are data of the Observatory of Employability and University Employment (OEEU), a project of the Social Work "la Caixa", CRUE Spanish Universities and the UNESCO Chair of University Management and Policy of the Polytechnic of Madrid, which has made the second report of the Employability and employment barometer of university students in Spain.
The president of Crue Spanish Universities and rector of the University of Lleida, Roberto Fernández; the director of the Observatory of Employability and University Employment, Francisco Michavila; and the director of CaixaForum Madrid, Isabel Fuentes, have presented the second edition of the University Employability and Employment Barometer in Spain today at CaixaForum Madrid.
11.44 percent affirm that in their last job they had a scholarship, an internship training contract or that they were in an internship, test or apprenticeship period. In relation to salary, the highest percentage corresponds to those charged between 1,201 and 1,600 euros gross per month (18.49 percent), followed by those charged between 1,601 and 2,100 euros (18.41 percent), a 13.1 percent between 2,100 and 3,000, and four percent up to 4,000 euros.
By branches, the graduates who charge the most are those of Engineering and Architecture and the least those of Arts and Humanities
The report also reveals that the three most required skills in employment are: the ability to solve problems, adaptability to new situations and the ability to manage pressure. However, the least required are oral and written communication in other languages, the ability to work in an international context and mastery of the specific skills of the master.

Also, the overqualification is very high, reaching 30.88 percent of the total. By branches, in Arts and Humanities there is a greater overqualification. Health Sciences is the branch with the lowest overqualification and Science is the one with the most underqualification. 65.3 percent of graduates believe that their last job was totally related (41 percent) or closely related (24 percent) to the master's studies.
